Every message reaches Salma Abu Hashem at the cooperative office in Tunis Village. She routes the message to the appropriate guide family within a working day; the family replies directly with availability and the trail-fee quote. The office is staffed Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 to 14:00 Cairo time. Friday and Saturday are family days; messages on those days are read on Sunday morning.

The more we know in advance — number and ages of children, travel dates, mobility considerations, food preferences, language preference for the guide — the better the cooperative can match your party with the right member family. Most messages receive a substantive reply within two working days. Subscription and conservation correspondence usually takes one round of clarification before action.
By post — the printed annual digest.
The cooperative produces a printed annual digest each December, which assembles the year's twelve trail-file updates, the citizen-science report, the financial transparency note and the chair's annual essay. The digest is included free with Trailwalker and Patron memberships; non-members may order a single copy at €22 plus postage in three bands (€4 within Egypt, €9 to Europe and North Africa, €14 elsewhere). The print run is six hundred copies; once it is out, it is out. Order through this form, marking topic as "Something else" and noting "printed digest".

If you were looking for a commercial tour operator selling packaged Fayoum tours, you are at the wrong door. We are a small cooperative of guide families publishing a logbook and connecting visiting families with member-family guides; we do not run packaged tours and do not have a Cairo office, a hotel partnership programme or an airport pickup desk. The Fayoum and Cairo tour operators are easy to find online; we will not pass an enquiry to them on your behalf, but we will reply politely if you want to ask us anything else.
